look是系动词，后面跟形容词，构成系表结构，是由主语+系动词+表语组成，主要用
以说明主语的特征、类属、状态、身份等。如：The leaves are turning green now.树叶正在变绿。

比较级前还可以用much，even，still，a little来修饰。如：He is a little thinner than me.他比我稍瘦一些。
4.He is really funny，and he can make me laugh.他真的很滑稽，能使我大笑。
make是使役动词，后面的不定式不带to。
5.It is hotter in Shanghai than in Beijing.上海的天气比北京的天气热。
另外一种表述是：The weather in Shanghai is hotter than that in Beijing. that是代词，代替the weather。
6.Liu Ying is not as good at sports as her sister.刘英不如她的妹妹擅长体育。
表示两者在某一方面相同时用“as+形容词／副词原级+as”句型，表示一方在某一方面不及另一方时用“not as／so+形容词／副词原级+as”句型。
形容词的比较级
（一）形容词比较级用于两者之间的比较，比较级的形容词构成如下：
1.单音节形容词的比较级尾加er构成。如：great（原级）greater（比较级）
2.以-e结尾的单音节形容词的比较级是在词尾加r构成。wide（原级）wider（比较级）
3.以-Y结尾，但-Y前是辅音字母的形容词的比较级是把-Y去掉，加上ier构成。如：happy（原形）happier（比较级）
4.以一个辅音字母结尾其前面的元音字母发短元音的形容词的比较级，首先是双写该辅音字母，然后再加er。如：big（原级）bigger（比较级）
5.双音节和多音节形容词的比较级需用more加在形容词前面来构成。如：beautiful（原级）more beautiful（比较级）；difficult（原级）more difficult（比较级）。
